SEAL was founded in early 2018, by myself Meghan, after returning from nearly three years travelling across Asia and Australia. Beginning in India and ending in Indonesia, I visited many beautiful places and it was an amazing trip. I climbed mountains, visited ancient temples, drove some strange vehicles and ate some of the best curry around! Despite all of that it became hard to witness the devastation caused by human pollution on natural environments and the oceans

Regardless of all my efforts to use chlorine tablets, metal straws and participate in beach cleans, it became clear that there were not enough available ways to be an ethical and sustainable consumer and traveller. With the dooming reality of plastic pollution and carbon emissions terrifying effects on our planet and our water sources in mind, I was compounded by feeling frustrated and angry hearing about chemical and animal testing so common to the beauty industry. I arrived home to the UK and was resolved to provide a package-free and conscientious option for beauty and bathroom products

Having for many years previously worked in arts education with a focus on sustainability in our choices especially in regards to textiles and the fashion industry, I decided to focus more directly on the products that we are using directly on our skin and bodies. Seal started as a way to make these greener, safer, better and accessible. Not only by supplying a curated range of the best, natural, package and plastic free body products, but doing so through the form of a refill station in order to promote a continued sustainable approach in the way we consume. After nearly a year trading at different markets in and around the cotswolds and south west this year I am very excited to launching a few of my own products including 8 amazing handmade vegan , natural and zero waste soaps.
